Worst on the First – May 1, 2022

Worst on the First is a monthly review of the most outlandish things that made me question my sanity from the prior month. Am I losing my mind or am I just a voice of reason?

Here we are again, time to look back and see what made me question my sanity in April. As bothered as I was by many, many things last month, I just didn’t get the time to post much. Don’t worry, I keep a notebook where I write down what irritates me or makes me question myself. If I am not plagued in May, I have a lot of writing to catch up on. Hopefully June will bring more to vote on.

Despite only having three to choose from, I still need your help. Take a look back and please vote to let me know what was the most irrational thing that I was able to share that made me question myself in April.

Your Car is not My Lawn Ornament

Should I get a birdbath or maybe some gnomes, no wait, I think I want a car in my flower bed

This post was more of a rant, but it still brings up the question of if I am being unreasonable. When you pay for a service like grocery delivery, you should be able to expect the delivery driver to park in your driveway. It shouldn’t be reasonable for someone who is performing a service for pay to drive through someone’s lawn and park right up against their porch.

If you are too lazy or physically incapable to carry groceries the 30 feet from my driveway to my porch, this may not be the career for you. It just blows my mind that anyone would think that this is acceptable. I am actually getting a little angry again typing out this re-cap. I usually do not feel I have an anger problem, but this one just gets to me. Am I crazy? This would anger anyone, wouldn’t it?

This is Your Fault

For the good of the people or to give the people a good excuse??

This post is about the lack of personal responsibility running rampant today. With every step forward we think we are making, we are actually just adding to the list of acceptable excuses. While all these do-gooders and politicians are running around patting themselves on their backs, the average Joe is taking notes to pass responsibility to others.

We as a society just keep making victims out of offenders. It’s not just the excuses we encourage. It is also the shaming of anyone who questions these excuses. If something is considered politically correct and someone questions whether it is right or not, they are looked at as a bigot. I cannot be the only one who feels this way.

Jesus, CBD, and Robots

Why do the bible thumpers and tweekers seem to be the main culprit of bot spamming?

This one questions what people get out of spam bots. And why is the majority of the spam I get about Jesus or CBD? I am still scratching my head about the purpose of spam bots. Not the ones promoting their own sites. Or the ones trying to send a virus. Not the ones trying to steal your identity. But the ones who just spam to spam.

I have yet to get any spam that seems to serve a purpose other than to annoy. I do not understand why anyone would do this. Or how it is being done? This definitely makes me question many things about spam bots and my sanity. Am I the only one who wonders the why or the how?

Crazy Babble or Just My Voice of Reason??

Worst on the First is a monthly review of the most outlandish things that made me question my sanity from the prior month. So, I am looking to find out if the way the world works, and the way other people think are crazy or if I am the crazy one. Sanity is a tricky thing. Please select the post below that is the most irrational because I need some help figuring out if I am just babbling like a crazy person or sharing my voice of reason.

It looks like This is Your Fault won. Check out June’s Worst on the First and cast your vote!

  1. How can either one of you think that disrespecting anyones life choices is the right thing to do? No one in their right mind would want to go back to the dark ages where straight white men are the only people that have rights. To write something like this and/or to agree with it makes both of you bigots.

    1. Thank you. You have just proved my point for me. You are attempting to shame me for having a different opinion than you do. You know, like someone who would shame another for being different than they are.
I do not believe that straight white men are the only people who have rights. Never did I say that or imply that.
People are equal. With that, you should not be able to use what could be perceived as a difference as an excuse for poor behavior.
